Terms of Use
Last updated 27 August 2026
These terms cover your use of Digby. If you are using it through your employer, they hold the account and these terms are between us and them. The parts about acceptable use still apply to you.
What the service is
Digby stores knowledge your organisation writes down and makes it searchable by Model Context Protocol clients you connect. We provide the storage, the governance around what enters it, and the endpoint your assistants talk to.
Your content stays yours
You own everything you put into Digby. We claim no rights over it beyond what is needed to run the service for you: storing it, indexing it so it can be searched, and processing it through the subprocessors named in our Privacy Policy. We will never sell it, and we will never use it to train models.
You are responsible for what your people write. Do not put anything in Digby that you do not have the right to store, and think twice before putting in credentials, payment details or sensitive personal data. It is built for how your company works, not for secrets.
Accounts and access
You decide who may read and write in your store. Access is default deny: somebody with an account and no granted role can do nothing at all. Keep credentials to yourself, tell us promptly if one is exposed, and remember that an administrator can delete content irreversibly.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Digby to break the law or to store material that does.
- Do not attempt to reach another customer’s data, or to probe for it.
- Do not resell the service or present it as your own without a written agreement.
- Do not deliberately overwhelm it. We may rate limit or suspend an account that threatens the service for everyone else, and we will tell you why.
What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. We work hard on availability but do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment, and there is no such commitment implied by this page.
Digby helps your assistants answer questions. It does not guarantee the answers are right. What comes out reflects what your people put in, including where they were mistaken or where something has since changed. Adjudication routes likely conflicts to a human rather than resolving them, and a human can be wrong too. Do not rely on Digby alone for decisions with legal, financial or safety consequences.
Availability and change
We will keep developing the service, which sometimes means changing how things work. When a change would break something you depend on, we will give account administrators notice rather than shipping it silently.
Ending it
You can stop using Digby whenever you like. Ask us and we will export your data, archive your store, or delete it. The deletion section of the Privacy Policy sets out what deletion reaches and what it does not. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, and except in serious cases we will raise it with you first.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, or for decisions taken on the strength of something Digby returned. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
